Mike Vallely Stinger Dock

Well it's been a year since joining DeviantArt (and many more as a fan), and here is my very first deviation. I grew up skateboarding, and am a huge fan of Mike Vallely. I hope you can enjoy this!

This dock was made with an actual photo of a section of griptape and resized with Apple's Preview. I tried to get it to look as real as possible, but the way Leopard skews the png's, it angles the sparkles a bit. The bottom wood portion of the dock is a long section of one of the darker maple layers of my Mike V Stinger deck.
The dock divider was made from a photo of my Mike Vallely Stinger T-Shirt and was re-sized also using Preview. I used the Instant Alpha tool to remove the black background. There are two sizes of dividers - I found that one works best if you have a 24" screen or above, and the other is designed for screens around 15 inches.
